Inaugural Community 4017 Exhibition

Gallery 4017, Sandgate is committed to supporting local artists.
There is need for a permanent, affordable exhibition space in the Deagon Ward. To facilitate this, Gallery 4017 is opening its door to all local artists who wish display their work in a congenial, open, friendly environment.
For the first time since its inception Gallery 4017 is holding an exhibition open only to residents of the 4017 community. This will become an annual event, providing an ongoing opportunity for local artists to display and sell their work. Artists of all disciplines are invited to exhibit and may include; painting, drawing, mixed media,prints, photography, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, textiles and woodwork.
Local artists David and Grace Cross are two of the 4017 artists exhibiting 3 pieces each. Please come along to support the artists and perhaps take home an original artwork to enjoy for years to come.
Here is one of David’s entries, “Aurora”, which is his view of the magnificent Moreton Bay Fig overlooking the bay in Shorncliffe’s Shepherd Place Park.
Below is Grace’s latest Textile/mixed media artwork, Poet’s Lace, which is part of her vintage lace series and entry into the exhibit.
